Live Challenge FAQs

What device should I use to watch the Challenge?

You can join using a mobile device BUT we highly recommend a large screen - laptop or TV even ideally, a tablet could work as well. THE BIGGER THE BETTER!

If you want to join through your TV, use AirPlay (Apple) or Chromecast (Google) to display video on a connected TV but you will still need to operate through your device with Zoom.

*As part of the Challenge, there will be breakout exercises and team activities. Our team will automatically place you into a separate breakout Zoom room for these exercises and activities. If you have joined using a Chromebook or Chrome OS you will NOT be able to join breakout rooms and miss this integral part of the Challenge. We highly encourage you not to use a Chromebook or Chrome OS for this Challenge if possible.*

What tools/materials will I need for this virtual Challenge?

It's pretty easy, all you need is to make the most of your challenge experience is:

  • Strong internet access
  • A webcam Pen & paper
  • Comfortable seat: A space where you can close off noise, distractions
  • light to be able to immerse in the Challenge fully
  • Consider adding a larger screen (i.e., TV) or speakers for a more immersive experience
  • Drinks and snacks

Live Challenge Best Practices:

  1. Participate in breakouts: We strongly encourage you to (even if this feels like a considerably big leap for you!) There is a lot of value in sharing ideas (not just in your head, but out loud!) in a like-minded community

  2. Turn on your camera: We ask that you enable your webcam during this Challenge. The speakers will be able to see you and feel your energy (which makes them even better presenters!). And, this makes these three days one of the most fun and valuable virtual experiences you’ve EVER been a part of.

  3. Chat interaction: Please use chat to interact with Pedro and for networking with each other during breaks. We ask that you keep chat about these activities only -- and be sure to not let chat become a distraction! Being present is the best gift you can give yourself! Resist the urge to take tons of notes (versus listening for and capturing big takeaways)

  4. No advertising in profile picture: Please refrain from using advertising or links in your zoom profile picture or name. This creates a safe place for people to receive all God has for them and not distract anyone.

  5. No soliciting in breakout rooms: Pedro asks that you help us keep this a sales-free zone. Please refrain from any promotions in the chat or breakout rooms during the zoom calls and breakout rooms

CHALLENGE TECH SUPPORT:

I’m having audio issues, what do I do?

Have you tried turning up the volume on your computer and/or speakers?

If your audio is choppy, it is usually an indication of slow internet speeds

Try moving closer to your wi-fi connector or find a way to hardwire your internet connection to your device.

Try restarting your device and signing back into your dashboard. This often works for the majority of people.

If you still are having issues, check out this article provided by zoom on audio issues: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362283-Testing-computer-or-device-audio
